Salient Research Achievements (in bullets)	Documented several new disease reports of viral diseases (Orthotospoviruses, Potyviruses, Poleroviruses, Criniviruses, Begomoviruses, Tobamoviruses and Cucumber mosaic virus) on different horticultural crops including vegetables Associated with the development of 5 varieties and hybrids of okra and sponge gourd Established the LAMP assay for the quick detection of ToLCJoV virus causing leaf curl disease in solanaceous vegetables Coat proteins of CaCV were expressed in bacterial system and produced polyclonal antisera for diagnosis Developed IDM module for the management of viral diseases in bitter gourd, chilli, tomato and okra
