Functions:

1. To coordinate the conduct of IRC, and take action on the recommendations
2. To prepare vision documents of the Institute/ICAR and to identify and prioritize researchable problems
3. To coordinate and arrange for annual monitoring of each on-going projects and evaluation of completed projects through internal and external experts.
4. Research Data Management and Digitization - To maintain a database of publications, technologies developed, IPRs, consultancies, projects undertake in the past 10 years and on-going projects; Digitalization of PMEC records and digital maintenance of all the projects
5. To arrange for conduct of IRC in consultation with the Director and to prepare proceedings and implementation of the recommendations of IRC.
6. To review the progress made under the externally funded projects, consultancy projects.
7. Preparation of Technical Reports, and monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports and timely submission.
8. Scrutiny of research research papers before sending it for publication in journals, seminars, symposium, conference etc.
9. Maintenance of RPP-I, II, III IV and other reports submitted by the scientists.
10. To scrutinize the requests for APC for research papers and make recommendations.
11. Any other work as and when assigned by the Director.
