Launch of PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Pulses Self-Reliance Mission and inauguration and laying of foundation stone of more than 1100 projects of Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Food Processing Sector by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi program was live screened at ICAR-NRCB, Tiruchirappalli at 11 AM on 11/10/2025. The live on screen program was arranged under the guidance and presence of the Director, ICAR-NRCB, Tiruchirappalli. More than 100 farmers from 8 different villages and 4 FPO’s/FPCL’s near by the institute and scientist’s and technical staff of the institute were attended. During this program the participants have received awareness about the ongoing central government agriculture schemes such as the “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) scheme”, "PM infrastructure scheme", “The Namo Drone Didi scheme”, “The PM-KISAN scheme”, and “Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana” etc. Also, participants keenly received messages of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Honorable Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Honorable Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh. The Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during his speech proudly stated that two fold increase in agriculture production in last 11 years, India become the first in milk production and second in meat production, six large fertilizers factories were established in recent times, over 25 core soil health cards had been issued to farmers as of July, 2025, a total of ₹2.24 lakh crore had been disbursed to 11.5 crore farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme as of December 2022, and formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs' and they connect approximately 30 lakh (3 million) farmers in India. Since our farmers were not able to understand Hindi, it was translated in Tamil after the program and we interacted with the farmers on cereals and pulses, launch of PM Dhan- Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Pulses Self-Reliance Mission during the entire duration of the Honorable Prime Minister’s speech. These messages were well received by all the participants and felt happy about this program. The program was very well co-ordinated by Dr. K.N. Shiva, Dr. G. Prabhu and Dr. P. Ravichamy at our centre.
