On 20.06.2026, ICAR-NRCB organized a live screening of the release of the 23rd instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and the launch of various agricultural schemes in West Bengal. The programme was attended by around 262 participants, including farmers and other stakeholders. Before the inauguration of the programme, the importance of the balanced use of fertilizers was highlighted. An awareness video on the balanced application of fertilizers in banana cultivation was displayed to educate farmers about the judicious use of nutrients for improving soil health and crop productivity. The live screening of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi instalment release and the launch of agricultural schemes was arranged for the benefit of farmers. The significance and objectives of these schemes were explained in the local language to ensure better understanding among the farming community.During the programme, farmers were educated about several important government initiatives, including the Digital Agriculture Mission, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS), National Mission on Natural Farming, and Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana.The programme helped create awareness about newly launched government schemes aimed at enhancing farmers’ welfare and promoting agricultural development.
