ICAR-National Research Centre for Banana

ICAR–National Research Centre for Banana (ICAR–NRCB), Tiruchirappalli, participated in the 24th edition of Agri Index 2026, held from 09thto 13th July 2026 at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore, organized by the CODISSIA Intec Technology Centre. The exhibition served as a major platform for showcasing agricultural technologies, innovations, farm machinery, and value-added agricultural products. More than three lakh farmers and members of the public visited the exhibition during the five-day event. On the occasion, ICAR–National Research Centre for Banana (ICAR–NRCB), Tiruchirappalli, showcased more than 80 banana varieties, tissue-cultured banana plants, more than 40value-added banana products, and various technologies developed by the Centre for banana cultivation. The exhibition created awareness among banana growers, entrepreneurs, students, and other stakeholders.
